Third-Party Services: We only share your address with map services (like Google Maps) for the purpose of navigating to your appointment.
4. Your Rights and Access
Under Ontario privacy laws, you have the right to request a copy of the information we have on file for you, or to request that we permanently delete your contact information from our records at any time.
5. Non-Personal Information Collection via Google Analytics
Oshawa Smart Home Help uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our website (www.oshawasmarthome.ca) to collect anonymous, non-personal data about our visitors. This helps us understand how our site is used so we can improve our services for Oshawa seniors and their families.
This data includes:
Device and Browser Information: (e.g., whether you use a smartphone or computer, and which browser you use).

By booking a service with Oshawa Smart Home Help, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
1. Nature of Services
Oshawa Smart Home Help provides in-home technical assistance, device setup, and technology coaching. We are an independent service provider and are not authorized representatives or employees of Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, or any other hardware manufacturer.
2. Appointments and Cancellations
Notice: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Travel Fees: We reserve the right to charge a flat-rate travel fee of $25.00 for "no-show" appointments where our technician arrives at the residence and is unable to gain entry.
3. Client Responsibility and Data Backup
Access: An adult (18+) must be present for the duration of any in-home service.
Data Backup: While we take every precaution, technology can be unpredictable. It is the client’s responsibility to back up important photos and documents prior to service. Oshawa Smart Home Help is not liable for data loss or pre-existing hardware failure.
4. Payments and Refunds
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service visit.

Service fees are for labor and expertise; hardware costs (routers, cameras, etc.) are the responsibility of the client.
5. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
